Alison C. Ives

Alison C. Ives has maintained a studio in the Mystic-Stonington-Noank area since 1980. She received her BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University and her MFA from Pratt Institute. Alison’s work has been exhibited in galleries and art centers throughout the region, from the Connecticut River to Rhode Island, as well as in private collections. She is an elected artist and a former board member at the Mystic Museum of Art, where she also serves on several committees. Alison works in a variety of mediums, including mixed media, stained glass, metal, oil and acrylic paint, assemblage and photography. Subject matter varies, but Alison favors landscapes and responses to regional beauty, particularly the ocean.
